A Card and A Flower

 Kiona had worked hours on Daganda's Valentine's card. The next day was Valentine's Day and Kiona had spent the majority of the day working on the card while Daganda was busy. He finished the base of the card pretty quickly, it was what to write on it that was the problem. Kiona spent forever just sitting there thinking, he just didn't know how to write what he was thinking. Rushed for time and bored of just sitting there Kiona scribbled something down and sighed, it would just have to do.

The next day: Kiona waited for the perfect moment to present Daganda with his card. When he finally did Daganda took the card and starred at it for awhile before looking down at Kiona and taking his hand.

"Come with me." He simply said pulling Kiona toward the door of their house.

Confused Kiona followed Daganda through the field, mind whirling. Where was his card? Did Daganda not get him one? Did he not like the one he made him? Kiona knew what he had wrote was cheesy but it wasn't that bad.

He was so busy worrying that he hadn't noticed they had stopped. Looking up he noticed a large bush like plant he had never seen before. It had long pinkish branches covered in large green leaves and strange heart shaped buds hanging from the branches.

"Oh," Kiona whispered and stepped forward a bit his gaze focused on a large bud hanging just out of his reach, "There beautiful."

"Yes they are." Daganda nodded noticing Kiona's intense stare at the largest of the buds. "I found them when I was out collecting herbs the other day."

Daganda then carefully picked up Kiona and put him on his shoulders so he could reach the large bud.

"What are they called?" Kiona questioned reaching forward and gently touching the bud.

"Bleeding heart, I think."

"Oh, what a sad sounding name." He whispered. "Can I take one home?"

Daganda laughed, "Yes, and maybe we can find a way to preserve it so then you may keep it forever."

Once Kiona plucked the bleeding heart off of it's stem and slid off of Daganda's shoulders onto the ground they started their way back home.

After walking in silence for a bit Kiona turned to Daganda.

"So does this mean you did like my Valentine card?"

"Of course Kiona, why wouldn't I?" He smiled taking Kiona's smaller hand in his own.

"Because it was kind of cheesy."

"Well, I just gave you a flower so I guess we can be cheesy together."

Ugh this whole story was cheesy.

The card says: "I'd fly to the ends of Griffa to be with you." It's the only thing I could think of.

Decided to draw bagbeans again so I'm entering the Valentine's Day Card prompt, and who else to draw but my favorite bagbean couple. I just adore these two.

I just realized I did Daganda's patterns wrong, oh well can't change it now.
